A blockade on the Grassy Narrows First Nation celebrated a milestone yesterday.
Members of the community were in Toronto yesterday to light a sacred flame on the grounds of the Ontario Legislature.
Other members took part in a pipe ceremony at the new Long House built at the Slant Lake Blockade site in Grassy Narrows.
Residents of the community have been protesting clear cut logging activity and say this is the longest running blockade of its kind in Canada.
