A 40-year-old Winnipeg man has been arrested after he was caught with illegal cigarettes on Highway 17, west of Kenora.
Ontario Provincial Police say the man was transporting over 107-cartons of unmarked cigarettes.
The accused was originally stopped for speeding
Police say the value of the cigarettes is over $10,000.
He now faces charges of possession of unmarked cigarettes, and possession for the purpose of sale contrary to the tobacco taxes act.
A court date has been set for March.
