Mississauga man charged with impersonating police

A man from Mississauga has been charged with impersonating a police officer.

The charge stems from an incident that occurred in late April in Machin.

Provincial Police responded to a motor vehicle collision to find that the towing company on the scene was not the company dispatched by police.

Their investigation later determined that the attending company had impersonated law enforcement in order to be dispatched to the scene.

A 41-year-old is scheduled to make a court appearance in Dryden in January.
