Ice Dogs and Fighting Walleye lead semis 2-0

The Dryden GM Ice Dogs and the Kam River Fighting Walleye have 2-0 series leads in the SIJHL semifinals.

The Ice Dogs beat the Red Lake Miners 10-4 Sunday night at home to take a stranglehold on that series.

Jordan Wales had a four-point night with two goals and two assists, while Rylan Oatman and Eli Antoine each chipped in with a pair of goals in the victory.

Meanwhile, the Fighting Walleye downed the Thunder Bay North Stars 3-2 in overtime Saturday night.

Jacob Lamoureux scored the game winner for the Walleye at 4:43 of OT.

The series shifts locations Tuesday night at the homes of the Miners and North Stars.
