Dryden hires new Director of Finance

The City of Dryden has hired a new Director of Finance/Treasurer.

Mo Azim was introduced at Monday’s open meeting.

He says he’ll start his new job on June 2nd.

“Me and my family will be moving around the fall of 2025,” Azim told Dryden City Council at its open meeting.

“So, September 2, 2025, is our estimated date of arrival, but I will be working hybrid until that time.”

He adds he’s looking forward to the opportunity.

“My family and I are looking forward to starting this new chapter and becoming a part of this community. I’m excited to support council’s strategy and contribute to the city’s strong tradition of fiscal responsibility.”

Azim replaces Steven Lansdell-Roll, who resigned at the end of March, and is now working as the Chief Operating Officer for the Kenora District Services Board.

The position of Director of Finance and city treasurer has been vacant since Lansdell-Roll left.
