12 Million In Severance Pay For Mill Employees

Resolute Forest Products is putting a dollar figure to its idling plans in Fort Frances.
Production at the kraft mill and paper machine number 5 is expected to halt soon.
The company estimates it will pay out about 12-million dollars for severance and other termination benefits for the approximately 239 employees being laid off by next February.
Another five million dollars will go towards other closure costs.
