12 More COVID Cases In The Region

The Northwestern Health Unit is reporting more cases of COVID-19 cases today (Saturday).

Earlier today, the Northwestern Health Unit confirmed 8 new cases in the Rainy River region.

Since that time, the health unit has received reports of twelve more new positive COVID-19 test results, with ten in the Rainy River region and 2 in the Dryden/Red Lake region.

*Correction* This marks a single day record for the most cases announced in the Northwestern Health Unit catchment area, with a total of 20.

Follow up with the persons involved and their contacts has started and anyone who is identified as a contact for these cases will be notified directly.

Meanwhile, Ontario is reporting 3,443 cases today.
