Air quality warnings for much of Northwestern Ontario

Much of Northwestern Ontario is under air quality warnings from wildfire smoke.

That is from West of Fort Hope and the Sioux Lookout, and North of Dryden and Kenora.

Three new fires popped up on the weekend in the Northwest.

Two were found Saturday at less than a hectare in size.

One is under control off Nelson Road in Minaki, and the other is out of control about 1 km west of Ranger Lake.

One new fire popped up Sunday on a peninsula near Entwine Lake but it was put out.

Much of the Northwestern region is under air quality warnings because of wildfire smoke.
