Areas along Manitoba border, Hudson Bay impacted by smoke Wednesday

More smoke in areas along the Manitoba border and Hudson Bay on Wednesday.

Some areas are less affected by the smoke drifting over from prairie wildfires and only have air quality statements, while others have air quality warnings.

But in Northwest Ontario, 12 new fires had popped up by Tuesday evening.

That brings the total up to 61.

Ten of those are out of control, one is being held at its current size.

Six fires are under control, and officials are observing 44 others.
