It was a couple of very busy hours on the Government Dock in Red Lake today as 76 kids age 12 and under took part in the Junior Championship.
The winner was Robbie Green, with a beautiful 2.96lb walleye. 2nd place went to Steven St. Jean at 2.04lbs, and 3rd was Tornado Berens at 1.42lbs.
A total of 13 walleye were caught, with 5 of them weighing over a pound – two of them over two pounds!
It was a fantastic showing for the kids, the best total catch in years!!
