If an opportunity comes around to help…..do you?
You can help others in different ways depending on the situation and what you think you are able to do. You might be asked if you are able to help out physically, mentally or monetarily. Perhaps that last one is the most difficult.
It’s hard to give up your well earned money to someone else or something else when you can’t ‘see’ the immediate benefit to YOU. What are YOU getting in return? Does it need to be something physical that you can hold or at least see? Or are you ok with having just the immediate thought of satisfaction that what you did monetarily is going to help others? If your answer to that last question is ‘No’…read no further.
Ok so now that we have the ‘TEAM’ players still reading it’s time to get that immediate satisfaction! To get that payoff feeling of helping others by taking some money out of your bank account and handing it over to someone else that is going to do good with it. That’s still hard to do isn’t it. Of course it is.
Trust. It’s earned. And what is ‘good’ anyway?
I hope I’ve earned your trust over the years and I hope what I’m doing is good enough for you to join me in helping others.
Many of you trusted me last year to put some of your hard earned dollars into a GoFundMe that eventually benefitted not just me but the DREAM Committee as well. 13-hundred dollars went to the Dryden Recreation Extension And Modification Committee! They were thrilled and amazed by the generosity of those who got involved with the campaign. The DREAM Committee was selected to receive the funds not by me but by one of the donors, who’s name was drawn out at the end of the GoFundMe campaign.
So thank you once again for helping make that happen last year!
Since that time I have been doing my part to pay-it-forward and do many appearances as my childhood hero which TEAM players in the first GoFundMe for charity helped me achieve. It’s been and continues to be a great experience!!
Round two of a GoFundMe for Charity is well underway. As of today over $1,000 is going to….someone’s choice of charity or other GoFundMe. That someone could be you – if you’re a TEAM player and like to help others monetarily. It doesn’t take a lot to make a big difference. Are you a difference maker?
