Two Late Goals Lift Lakers To Win

Two goals in a span of 18 seconds in the third period propelled the Fort Frances Lakers to a 5-3 win over visiting Dryden GM Tuesday.

The game was tied when Matthieu Harold and Noah Loveday scored on consecutive shots.

The Ice Dogs couldn’t recover despite finally getting some shots late in the hockey game.

Shots were 38-35 Fort Frances but Dryden GM went a 30 minute span by getting outshot 28-7.

Nolan Marshall, Josh Weber and Evan Pakkala scored the Ice Dogs goals.

Dryden GM remains five points up on Wisconsin for fourth in the SIJHL.

Those two teams meet Wednesday in Spooner.
