Drug Charge Laid By Dryden OPP During Traffic Stop

A man from British Columbia is facing multiple charges after a traffic stop by Dryden Provincial Police with assistance from the Lac Seul Police Service.

Police say on Friday at 10:40 AM they were on patrol in Wainwright Township west of Dryden and stopped a vehicle for a Highway Traffic Act violation.

Police then say upon investigation they seized a large amount of Canadian Currency along with oxycodone pills.

OPP say 38-year-old James Sagriff of Duncan, BC has been charged with Laundering Proceeds of Crime, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000, Trafficking in Property Obtained by Crime as well as Possession of a Substance for the purpose of Trafficking.

The accused will appear in Dryden Court on August 10th.
