A Dryden man facing drug charges as Provincial Police executed a search warrant in Machin.
Police say on July 2nd at around 8pm they searched the residence along with the Community Street Crime Unit, Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau and the Northwest Region Emergency Response Team.
Police then say during the search they found and seized cocaine, morphine, psilocybin (psychedelic mushrooms), fentanyl, Canadian currency and drug paraphernalia.
OPP say 33-year-old Brendin Swanson faces multiple charges including:
- Possession of Schedule I Substance- Other Drugs CDSA 4(1) (2 counts)
- Possession of a Schedule III Substance CDSA 4(1)
- Possession of Schedule I Substance for purpose of trafficking- Other Drugs CDSA 5(2)
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000 CC 354(1)(a)
- Possession of Firearm or Ammunition contrary to Prohibition Order CC 117.01(1)
- Failure to comply with release order CC 145(5)(a)
Police say the accused remains in custody.
