2 arrested for drug trafficking in Sioux Lookout

A traffic stop in Sioux Lookout has led to the arrest of two people on drug charges.

The OPP say they pulled over a vehicle last Wednesday evening.

A search of the vehicle found about 48 grams of methamphetamine, cocaine and a edged weapon.

Two 51-year-olds from Dryden face drug trafficking charges and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purposed.

One has also been charged with failing to comply with a probation order.

They have been remanded into custody at the Kenora Jail pending a future court date.
