2 arrested in Ignace drug bust

Two people from Ignace have been arrested following a drug bust this week.

Around 4 pm on Tuesday, several police units from across the region executed a search warrant on a residence on West Street in Ignace.

A number of drugs were seized, including methamphetamine, cocaine, crack cocaine, prescription pills, magic mushrooms and other evidence of drug trafficking.

A 50-year-old man and 36-year-old woman both face four charges each for trafficking and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

They will appear in Dryden court at a later date.
