2 youths arrested in Sioux Lookout

Two youths have been arrested by OPP in connection with an incident in Sioux Lookout.

OPP say officers responded to an incident involving a weapon in an alleyway.

Their investigation led to them discovering a number of vehicles were damaged, and an individual was assaulted.

A 14-year-old was charged with two counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, uttering threats and assault.

A 13-year-old was charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purchase, assault with a weapon, mischief and failing to comply with a previous court ruling.

The two youths cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

They have since been released and will return to court at a later date.
