A Vermilion Bay man has been fined $2,000 for various hunting offences.
Michael Bernier pleaded guilty to entering private property without permission for the purpose of hunting and failing to immediately attach his game seal to a harvested deer.
The fine results from a November, 2017 incident in the north Waldof area where a white-tailed deer was followed onto private property and shot a second time.
The deer was loaded into the back of Bernier’s truck, transported and hung without a game seal.
He has been banned from hunting for one year.
