Families and individuals in Northwestern Ontario made more money in
2005, compared to 2000.
The latest Census figures show that the median income for families in
Dryden was $78,000, an increase of $4,000.
Individuals had $30,000 in their wallet, compared to $28,000 in
2000.
The average income for families in Red Lake was $88,000,
$86,000 in Ear Falls, $83,000 in Sioux Lookout, $75,000 in Kenora
and $67,000 in Ignace.
According to the Census, 30 individuals in Kenora and Red Lake made over $250,000.
25 people in Dryden exceed the $250,000 mark.
