The Northwestern Health Unit feels its accomplished a lot in the last
year and so.
The 2005 ‘Year in Review’ Report has been unveiled and Medical Officer
of Health Dr. Pete Sarsfield says they’ve gone in a different direction
compared to other Provincial Health Units.
Sarsfield adds they have been expanding programs to smaller communities
in the Region, instead of centralizing services.
Sarsfield adds they’ve also strengthened partnerships with area first
nations and have focused more on social determinents of health.
