2007 Budget Approved in Atikokan

Atikokan Council has approved the 2007 Municipal budget and the
residental tax hike has been kept under 1%.
Mayor Dennis Brown says the Town has also decreased the commercial tax
rate by 14%.
Water and sewer rates will go up $25 this year.
Capital work includes road upgrades, improvements to the water and
sewage treatment plant and upgrades to the fire hall, arena and pool.
