2009 Could be Brighter for Tourism

There’s some optimism for Northwestern Ontario’s tourist industry in 2009.
The Ministry of Tourism’s ‘Great Ontario Outdoor Adventure’ program says local parks and tourism outfitters are poised for growth as the economy tightens many travel budgets.
Spokesperson Scott Adams says people are now starting to think more about a vacation that’s within a days drive.
Adams says the provincially-supported program will be promoting the region at a travel show in Wisconsin in February
