Work continues on finalizing the 2011 City of Dryden budget.
The balanced budget is expected to be polished and presented to Council by the first week of February.
Treasurer Linda McNaughton says staff still need to cut roughly $1-million from the capital budget and $2-million from the operating budget.
The Senior Management Team is meeting 3-times a week to finalize the budget in a timely fashion.
McNaughton says Council has provided direction of a minimal tax increase up to the rate of inflation, no reduction in reserves and no additional debt.
The current debt stands at $35.8-million.
A final public meeting was held on Monday to receive input on the fiscal document.
No feedback was received at that open forum.
