With the smoke from Dryden’s 2013 fireworks barely gone over Wabigoon Lake, the drive for the 2014 Canada Day Fireworks received a nice contribution today. During Canada Day, Domino’s Pizza sold pizza by the slice at the waterfront while they hosted games for the kids. A CKDR Fireworks donation box was also on hand. Today, Dominos dropped off $415.16 which will be added to the $2,607.55 that was held in reserve toward next years fireworks. With just over $3,000 now in the bank, CKDR is confident the 2014 Dryden Fireworks will be bigger and better. The spectacular fireworks show during Canada Day drew thousands, after citizens, groups, clubs and businesses all donated toward the Fireworks Fund started by CKDR.
