The 20th season of the Superior International Junior Hockey League will feature a 48 game schedule and a return to play in the United States.
The Dryden GM Ice Dogs will open the season at home September 17 against the Fort Frances Lakers.
Their first trip south isn’t until November 12 when they play two games in Thief River Falls.
Dryden GM will have a lengthy Christmas break as they are off from December 16 to January 6.
The Red Lake Miners kick-off a new campaign with a three game homestand starting September 18 against the Ice Dogs.
Their first trip stateside is October 29 and 30 in Spooner, Wisconsin.
Red Lake’s holiday break is from December 19 to January 6.
The seven active teams in the league will play each other eight times, four on the road and four at home.
Spooner, Wisconsin will be hosting the Showcase event from February 8-10.
The playoffs are scheduled to start April 1.
