2023 Municipal Budget Almost Ready To Go

The Senior Leadership team at Dryden is expecting to pass and approve 2023’s Operating and Capital budgets today at City Hall.

Dryden’s budget process began in November but three sets of revisions have pushed things back to February.

Council had concerns surrounding a proposed $70,000 development on an empty King Street lot, and the funds will be used on a future project.

As well, the city was not successful in a grant for Sandy Beach Road and in its place, the city plans to complete a storm sewer lining project.

Dryden’s proposed 2023 budget still includes a 2.65 per cent property tax levy increase, with $950,000 going into city reserves.
