A positive story of a kind hearted citizen from the Dryden area.
James and Mary Shaw were traveling through our area pulling their fifth wheel heading to Vancouver Island when a tire blew out.
When they were looking for their road assistance number a local resident pulled up and asked if they needed help.
In an e-mail the older couple say they were very appreciative of the kind offer as they had medical problems.
The Good Samaritan named “Pat” went out of his way to help the two by getting a jack and an impact gun and changed the tire.
He proceeded to lift the heavy tire into the back of the truck.
The Shaw’s say it was a wonderful experience having “Pat” come to their rescue.
The Good Samaritan has been identified as Pat Daignault.
He is a supervisor for IMOS out of the Dinorwic yard and he was doing one of his usual patrols of the highway and came across this couple who had blown a tire.
Not only did he offer to help but went to his house to grab the tools that he would need to do the job.
