Schreiner Asked To Run For Liberal Leadership

Mike Schreiner is being asked to run for the leadership of the Liberal Party of Ontario.

A letter signed by several high profile Liberals asks him to join the party and run as leader.

Schreiner is the Green Party leader and has a seat in the Ontario Legislature and represents the riding of Guelph.

In an open letter, Schreiner says he’s thinking about the proposal.

“They (the Liberals) have reached out across party lines in a unique way in the spirit of doing politics differently. So, I’m going to ask people to give me time to think about their arguments.”

The Liberals are seeking to find a leader after Steven Del Duca lost his seat in the last provincial election in June.
