Fire At Patricia Plaza In Sioux Lookout

Residents of the Patricia Plaza seniors home have been displaced by a fire in the building Saturday morning.

Fire chief Rob Favot says the fire broke out around 8:00 Saturday morning affecting six units in the building and causing water damage in two more.

There is smoke damage in the rest of the units and Favot says Patricia Plaza is not habitable right now.

Fire crews are just putting out a few hot spots, but the fire has been mostly extinguished.

The cause of the blaze is still unknown and Favot says no one was hurt.

The building has 37 units and the Kenora District Services Board says it is working to house the displaced residents.
