Female curlers are ready to enter the hack and draw to the button for a good cause in Sioux Lookout.
The 4th Annual Bearskin Airlines ‘Skip to Equip’ fundraising Bonspiel starts Friday and runs all weekend.
Organizer Muriel Anderson says the event is getting bigger and better with 22-teams this year.
All money raised goes towards the long-term care home extension at the Meno-Ya-Win Health Centre.
Anderson says they have committed $150,000 over three years for the hospital project.
Anderson adds it helps keep women’s curling alive and well in the region.
The event features a silent and penny auction on Saturday night.
