Ice Dogs Lose Two To The Fighting Walleye

The Kam River Fighting Walleye now sit eight points up on the Dryden GM Ice Dogs for first place in the SIJHL standings.

The Walleye downed the Ice Dogs in both games played in Dryden, winning 5-2 on Saturday, and 5-3 on Friday night.

The Sioux Lookout Bombers also won both of their games in Wisconsin, getting by the Lumberjacks 2-1 on Friday and 4-1 on Saturday.

The Thunder Bay North Stars also took both games from the Red Lake Miners, 3-2 in overtime on Saturday and 5-2 on Friday.

The Kenora U18 Thistles snapped a seven game losing skid Sunday afternoon with a 3-2 overtime win over the
Brandon Wheat Kings.

Emerson Evans scored the OT winner on a power play for the Thistles

On Saturday, the the Wheat Kings were 2-1 winners.
