A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for the Dryden-Vermilion Bay area.
Environment Canada says storms are possible late this afternoon into this evening.
Officials say the main threats are winds gusts up to 90 km/h, 2 centimetre hail, and heavy downpours.
The Office of the Fire Marshal and Emergency Management recommends that you take cover immediately if threatening weather approaches.
