Sioux Lookout Man Arrested Following Threat Complaint

A public complaint has resulted in an arrest in Sioux Lookout.

Provincial Police were called to a local hotel Friday morning around 1:45 to respond to a report of a threat involving a weapon.

Officers arrived and found the accused outside with a butterfly knife in his possession.

OPP also determined he had been driving with a blood alcohol concentration over the twice the legal limit.

Police say 20 year old Joseph Sithole of Sioux Lookout faces a total of three charges.

Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs, contrary to Criminal Code Section 320.14 (1)(a),
-Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration 80 plus, contrary to Criminal Code Section 320.14 (1)(b), and
-Possession of a Prohibited Device or Ammunition for Dangerous Purpose, contrary to Criminal Code Section 88.
