One of the more popular summer festivals is returning this year and preparations are underway for Blueberry Festival in Sioux Lookout
There will be a mix of virtual and hopefully outdoor events pending COVID-19 restrictions.
Coordinator Jessica Darling says the focus right now is, “Getting some events registered and our t-shirt sales, which is our main fundraiser again this year. So, if people are interested in running an event during the Blueberry Festival, we absolutely encourage you to submit a registration.”

Darling says they are hoping the 39th Anniversary of the Festival will ignite new life during pandemic fatigue.
“Obviously COVID has taken a toll on everybody and it’s really important to Blueberry Festival Committee to be able to bring this back to Sioux Lookout and do whatever we can to bring a little bit of joy back into our town.”
