Winter isn’t done with us yet.
A special weather statement has been issued for the Ignace area.
Gerald Cheng from Environment Canada says most areas of northwestern Ontario can expect some snow starting tonight.
“If you are in Kenora, you might get a couple of centimeters of snow, although you can expect gusty winds especially tonight and also early Wednesday,” reports Chen.
“But really the big snow is east of Kenora. When you go to Ignace, that’s where the snow is.”
Cheng adds that most other communities should see some accumulation.
“Right now we’re looking at Dryden, it could be seeing 10 centimeters of snow and even farther east, you could see up to 20 centimeters of snow.”
According to Environment Canada Fort Frances can expect anywhere from 5 to 10 centimeters of snow, and Thunder Bay as much as 10 to 15 centimeters.
