It was hot and dry in the Dryden area in July.
Bill Laidlaw of Signal Weather Services says the average temperature for the month was 20.6, making it the 5th warmest this century.
The high temperatures was 32.7 on the 18th and the low day was on July 7th at 8.8 degrees.
Laidlaw says we had seven days with highs greater than 30, and we set new record highs on the 2nd and the 18th.
Total rain for the month was only 44.3 millimetres which is about 40% of normal.
Laidlaw notes we only had eight days with rain, normally we have 14 days.
