Machin Receiving Assistance From Kenora

The Municipality of Machin has reached out to Kenora to lend some help.

An agreement for water and wastewater assistance has been drafted.

Kevin Gannon is Kenora’s Manager of Engineering and Infrastructure and says these kinds of agreements are important.

“I’m really looking forward to this form of collaboration on both sides,” says Gannon.

“There are some very well-trained and educated people in the industry and this type of relationship is ideal for the success of the northern region”

Gannon adds the agreement comes with an extra benefit.

“This will not cost the taxpayers within the region any tax funding in order to support. This will be a full cost recovery where any resources or support given to the community would be recoverable.”

Gannon says there is a lot of expertise they can lend out so this type of agreement is important for collaboration of resources and networking.
