Schreiner Staying On As Green Party Leader

The leader of the Ontario Green Party says he will be staying put.

Mike Schreiner was being courted by some Ontario Liberals to be their new leader.

“There is so much unfinished work to make our province, our economy and our communities climate-ready…work I’m determined to keep doing as the Green leader,” Schreiner said in a YouTube video.

Schreiner says his goal is to keep building the Green Party in Ontario.

“People have told me that one Green MPP is making a difference and I know that more Green MPP’s can make an even bigger difference, but that will only happen if people turn their kind words of support into real action.”

Schreiner says climate change, protecting health care and the Green Belt are still his main concerns.
