COVID Impacting Two Rainy River Schools

Two more schools in the region have been impacted by COVID-19.

The Rainy River District School Board has posted an advisory that it was notified of an exposure impacting Donald Young School in Emo.

There’s no indication yet if any students or staff have been directly impacted,

The Board states it’s working with the Northwestern Health Unit on the next steps and whether any classrooms need to be closed.

The notification comes just two days after the school board indicated two students at Crossroads School in Devlin have tested positive for the coronavirus.

Two classes are now learning virtually as a temporary precaution.

Crossroads School

Previous cases impacting students were identified at Sturgeon Creek Alternative Program in Emo and Our Lady of Way School in Stratton.

Those have since been resolved.
