Three New COVID Cases In Region

After two days of no local COVID cases, the region is reporting three new positives.

All three come from the District of Rainy River.

There are now 15 active cases in the Northwestern Health Unit catchment area. (Rainy River: 11. Kenora: 4)

Ontario recorded 587 new cases.

The Ministry of Health says 349 were unvaccinated people, 27 were partially vaccinated people, 164 were fully vaccinated people and for 47 people the vaccination status was unknown.

There were also five COVID-related deaths reported.
