Forest Fire Activity Continues To Drop

Rain and cooler temperatures are helping put out some stubborn wildfires in the region.

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry says there are now only seven active forest fires.

One fire is being held, one is under control and five other blazes are being observed.

There were no new forest fires over the past couple of days.

Thanks to recent rain, the fire hazard is considered low across the Northwest.
