Two brothers who had been apart for six years, just happened to be walking down the street in Scotland, Dec. 1945 on leave and ran into each other. What are the chances?
They exchanged their uniforms and had this photo taken. You can see the ill-fit of the uniforms as the brothers were quite different in size.
Earl Herbert (our father) on the right served in the RCN.
Victor Herbert served in a tank, North Africa , Sicily ,Italy, France, Belgium, Germany . 1939-1945. B.C. Dragoons.
