Provincial Police in Dryden are investigating a death at a home on Dingwall Parkway.
OPP say officers were called to assist a person in medical distress on Wednesday.
Police and Northwest Emergency Services arrived and the individual was found unconscious.
The person was transported to hospital but despite life-saving efforts, the individual passed away.
A post-mortem is being carried out to determine the cause of death.
OPP say there is no concern for public safety at this time.
