It’s a movie the Dryden GM Ice Dogs and their fans have seen far too many times.
Held in check for most of the game, Jordan Baranesky came on in overtime and did it once again, burying yet another heartbreaking winner in Red Lake’s 5-4 Wednesday night.
The goal was a power-play marker after the Ice Dogs took a too many men on the ice penalty at the tale end of a 5-3 advantage.
Up 4-3, Tristan Takats would tie it for Dryden GM midway through the third period.
Derek Koivisto led the attack with a pair while Bryce Benefield opened the scoring.
At one point the Ice Dogs were up 3-1.
However, the Miners potent office came to life with two goals from Brady Harroun and singles from Ryan Hunter and Nic Bolin.
Dryden GM outshot Red Lake 41-34 with Kiev Kineshanko earning the victory.
Cole Johnston suffered the loss.
The game was the final one at home for the Ice Dogs for the regular season.
