Thanking Telecommunicators Across The Region

This is National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week and the Provincial Police and Kenora District Services Board are taking time to say thank you.

Telecommunicators are known by some as the FIRST “first responders,” and “heroes behind the headset.”

They answer emergency calls, dispatch first responders and equipment, and render life-saving assistance, among other duties.

The OPP stress in a Tweet that members of the regional Communications Centre are dedicated to supporting our communities and they are an essential link in the chain of services that provide support and keep our communities safe.

The KDSB says Northwest EMS staff thank the Kenora Central Ambulance Communications Centre and all 911 communicators who are there first when emergencies occur.
