Expanded Opportunities At Ontario Colleges

More programming options are coming to Ontario Colleges, including Confederation College.

The province is allowing for new three and four-year programs, focusing on the most immediate labour needs.

Minister of Colleges and Universities Jill Dunlop wants the schools addressing labour gaps in certain sectors.

“Highly skilled technology workers in the health care, digital data, artificial intelligence, cyber-security and process automation sectors.”

Dunlop also wants to see programs that address the emerging electric vehicle industry.

President of College’s Ontario Linda Franklin says this will mean every student who completes degree level education will be awarded a degree regardless if they study at college or university.
