Kenora Hospital Experiences A COVID Outbreak Again

Two days after declaring the COVID-19 outbreak over, Lake of the Woods District Hospital in Kenora says it’s in outbreak again.

Two more positive results have been confirmed.

The hospital says the virus was detected after asymptomatic testing was done.

Hospital CEO Ray Racette says the latest outbreak is discouraging, however, the fact is, staff’s diligence is what led to the cases being detected.

The administration says the circumstances at the hospital this week prove how extremely transmissible omicron COVID-19 infections are, and how active it still is in our region.

The hospital says it’s working with the Northwestern Health Unit on this outbreak.
