The Ontario Ministry of Northern Development, Mines, Natural Resources and Forestry is out with an update on the flood response.
The Ministry reports that residents who live in communities serviced by a municipality can contact their local municipal office for information on flood response as they are in charge of on-the-ground flood response.
If you live in an unorganized territory, any flood watches or flood warnings in your area are issued by the nearest Ministry of Northern Development, Mines, Natural Resources and Forestry district office. Please call:

In Sioux Lookout, empty sandbags are available at the Public Works office and can be filled at the Third Avenue ball diamonds, where sand will be available at no cost.
