A 71 year old Wisconsin man is dead after the boat he was in capsized on Clay Lake.
The incident happened on Saturday afternoon around 5:15.
Provincial Police in Dryden say two people had been fishing near the rapids when their boat tipped over.
One of the individuals was able to hang onto the boat and call for help, and was later rescued by employees from a nearby lodge.
The Joint Rescue Coordination Centre was called in and the OPP’s Emergency Response Team chartered a helicopter to conduct a search for the remaining person.
While doing so, detachment members located David Nitzel of Rhineland and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
OPP are once again urging people who go out on the water to wear a lifejacket or PFD.
