A close call for two outdoor enthusiasts in Kenora.
Provincial Police responded to a call of a capsized canoe on Lake of the Woods in the Norman Dam channel this past Saturday.
Officers attended in an OPP vessel, on foot and requested a helicopter to be dispatched to try and locate the individuals.
Police found a bag with ID and an address as well as the overturned canoe.
Officers were able to attend a home where the two were located in safe condition.
OPP ask the public to contact them if they find themselves in a similar situation as a broken-down boat or vehicle left in an unusual spot could prompt numerous resources to search for someone believed to be in danger.
